Whitegold is set to take to the local airwaves in Georgia Gendall's new radio show about china clay reports St Austell Voice. Georgia's new radio show will look back to the history of china clay and St Austell's involvement in the mining of this precious material. She will also talk about what is being done today to celebrate china clay through local town initiatives with the Austell Project.

St Austell Voice - Cornish Honeybee

Local landmarks highlighted in new ceramic mural installation reports St Austell Voice. A new ceramic artwork, the Cornish Honeybee has been unveiled at Biddick's Court in the town centre. The mural is made up of hundreds of ceramic tiles, some of which are branded with landmarks and symbols of the local area in order to promote pride in the local community and to establish St Austell as the home of china clay.

Brick project lays the foundations for preserving local clay heritage reports St Austell Voice. Brickfield is an initiative of the Austell Project and Austell Ceramic which aims to restore pride in St Austell and its history in china clay. Brickfield is hosting brick making workshops at Blackpool pit with the products of the workshops being used for a local building project in the future.

St Austell Voice announces the changes in the Austell Project Festival. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the festivals that were due to take place earlier in the summer have had to be postponed. It's now been announced that the festival is due to take place online with panels of experts holding webinars and lots of online events that people can participate in.

Pirate FM announces that the two town centre festivals are merging to make one that's bigger and better. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the festivals that were due to take place this summer will now be postponed until September with the Green and Whitegold festivals now being combined to create one festival which will be hosted online by panels of experts.

Business Cornwall have featured the Austell Project in its digital platforms to announce the postponement of the Whitegold and Garden festivals. The festivals won't be held physically in the town centre in 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The festivals will take place online instead with online panels of the experts who were due to be attending the festival.

St Austell Voice - David Mach's Earthly Delights

Ceramicist enlists local help for clay project as part of the Whitegold Project's commissions. St Austell Voice has reported on David Mach's Earthly Delights project which aims to create an installation made up of hundreds of fragments of pottery, all embedded with stories from local people. Mach is encouraging people to send in their pottery fragments and to be a part of the final artwork.

The corridor is planted along the A391 and will reappear each year.
