Tallest Ceramic Sculpture in the UK – Coming to St Austell

We’re thrilled to reveal that St Austell is soon to host the tallest ceramic sculpture in the UK, thanks to our collaboration with leading ceramic artist Sandy Brown. Sandy’s public art commission is called ‘Earth Goddess’ and, once in position, will stand at 10.5m high – which is bigger than two double decker buses on top of each other!

The exciting new artwork is one of 18 pieces of ceramic art especially created for St Austell by world-famous artists – forming the new Austell Projects – Whitegold Art Trail, which celebrates the towns rich china clay heritage.

Sandy was chatting on the Radio 4 Today programme all about her commission for St Austell and you can read more here: bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-57551846
