St Austell Bay Economic Forum

Who are SABEF?

St Austell Bay Economic Forum, (SABEF), are a group of local business, public bodies and community organisations working together to stimulate sustainable economic growth by attracting new visitors, new residents, new investment and promoting pride in our local community. With the vision to make St Austell and its hinterland a great place to live, work and play, we believe that by coming together as a shared community we can bring more prosperity to the area.

The St Austell Bay Economic Forum was incorporated as a Community Interest Company in 2015. Details can be found through Companies House, under St Austell Bay CIC. We have a board of Directors, who all give their time on a voluntary basis. We are proud to act as the Coastal Community Team for the St Austell Bay area which has resulted in funding for our Green and Whitegold Project as well as the St Austell Market House amongst others.

SABEF have been instrumental in developing this website and the Austell Project – a cultural regeneration programme created to bring to life our vision for improving the area and change the way St Austell is perceived locally, nationally and internationally.
