Crafting Connections

Words by Nikki Hotchin

Crafting Connections an exhibition of young people’s contemporary craft, and free drop-in workshops for everyone…

With help from Feast Cornwall’s Tresorys Kernow fund, we’ve been offering free workshops in St Austell for young people over the past few months, and we’re hosting an exhibition and drop-in making day in White River Place on the 4th June to share what they’ve made.

Everyone is welcome to join us for a celebratory (non-alcoholic) drink and cake, meander around our exhibition, chat to the young makers and have a go! The workshops we’ve been doing were just for teenagers, but parents and grandparents and adults and younger kids are all invited to join in on this special day, to see the exhibition and join in with FREE drop-in workshops in recycled jewellery-making, embroidery to embellish your jeans, crochet a flower and expressive acrylic painting…

There’s no need to book, people can just turn up and have a go! Find out more here
