Poltair Residents Association lead the way!

Poltair Residents’ Association, in partnership with St Austell Town Council, lead the way in winning grant funding for their projects to improve the open spaces for local residents in Thorn Park and Tregonissey Lane End.

An £11,000 grant has been given to the association to fund improvements to Thorn park as part of the Pocket Park plus initiative by the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government

Pocket parks are small plots of land, often about the size of a tennis court, and mostly seen in urban spaces. They provide a green oasis which can help improve the physical and mental health of the communities using them.

Poltair Residents Association are looking to use the funding to create a less bland space and provide a garden feature for all to enjoy. Find out more.
