Its back for 2 weeks ONLY pick your own strawberries!

Boddington’s Berries are opening for 2 weeks from Saturday 22nd June at 10am daily until Sunday 7th July at 6pm.

Go along to their farm in Mevagissey and pick some delicious homegrown Cornish strawberries, and whilst you are there why not pick up some of their fabulous preserves as well.

Heavy Horse Weekend

This June The Lost Gardens of Heligan are delighted to present their second year of Heligan’s Heavy Horse Weekend, where they celebrate heavy horses and the work they carry out on estates, farms and woodlands across the southwest, and the skills of horsemanship that have sadly become less regularly seen.

In collaboration with The Cornish Heavy Horse society they invite you to a two-day working theatre of heavy horses and rare breed ponies taking on the work around our gardens and estate, in the same way they would have done over 200 years ago.

The Boconnoc Steam Fair – one of the largest events of its kind in the South West and celebrating its 21st anniversary this year.

Full size steam engines demonstrating heavy haulage and wood sawing, miniature Steam Engines, Vintage Tractors, Classic Cars, Vintage Motorbikes, Commercial Vehicles and various other displays.

Browse the vast trade stands, our craft marquee, numerous catering outlets and a fully licensed beer tent.

Not forgetting the fairground and displays in the main arena. Bring the whole family (including the dog!), perhaps even stay for the week – we’ll guarantee you’ll love it.

St Dennis Band 10th Annual Party in the Park

2019 is the tenth year St Dennis Band will host “Party in the Park” this superb family event which raises money for the St Dennis Band Organisation.

As usual there is a stellar line up, fully licensed bar, BBQ, bouncy castles stalls and hopefully the odd bit off glitter!

St Dennis Band is extremely proud of its heritage with early records traced to the mid 19th Century, believed to have been formed in 1838 as part of the festivities in connection with the Coronation of Queen Victoria it has continued to function by voluntary contributions up to the present time.

This is an outdoor event where everybody is welcome to come and enjoy some of Cornwall’s finest live bands playing rock, pop, folk, soul and more!

Come along and enjoy a full day of entertainment!

Family Fun Day

Family Fun Day

Family fun day at Mount Charles Social Club in aid of Bristol Children’s Hospital. Fun starts at 12pm with FREE entry for day time fun.

There will be children’s and adult bouncy castles, popcorn, candy floss, ice cream and sweet stall.

From 6 pm till late there will be evening music with cracking bands. Evening tickets are £7 each and available from the bar at the club now.

This will be the first time Sound Dogz have ever played in Cornwall. This event is growing year on year and all in aid of Bristol children’s hospital.

Clay Animation Workshop

Clay Animation Workshop

Come to Wheal Martyn Museum and create a brilliant animated film about how china clay is mined and used in Cornwall. Create plasticine characters and make them come to life with the magic of stop motion animation. Work in small groups and use cameras and laptops to tell a story. The finished film will be ready to download from the internet when completed. Workshop 1:10.30am to 12pm, Workshop 2: 1pm to 2.30pm and Workshop 3: 3pm to 4.30pm.
